Automatic driving is one of the core features of RailKernel. Trains are moved block by block using safe route reservations and real-time occupancy information. Accessories are only switched after successful reservation. Everything is visible in the layout: moving trains, occupied blocks and reserved blocks can all be shown in configurable colors. In the Train Monitor you can see what trains are doing, where they are, where they are going and what their reservations are. You can queue trains and start them with a single click, take over manual control and release it again without disturbing the routing.
