  • RailKernel detects YaMoRC hardware and distinguishes its behaviour from a Roco Z21 even when both use the Z21 LAN protocol.
  • Protocol monitors expose Z21 and LocoNet traffic for practical diagnosis without changing the layout definition.
  • Feedback contacts, accessories and locomotives participate in the same blocks, routes, reservations and RailScript automation as other RailKernel interfaces.

RailKernel and YaMoRC questions

How does RailKernel connect to the YaMoRC YD7010?

RailKernel supports the YD7010 through Z21 over LAN, LocoNet Binary over LAN and LocoNet over USB. Z21 LAN is the normal default for a simple network connection.

Can RailKernel use YaMoRC feedback modules?

Yes. Feedback events received through the applicable YD7010 interface update RailKernel feedback contacts, blocks and automatic train operation.

Can the YD7010 programming track be used from RailKernel?

Yes. RailKernel supports service-mode DCC CV reading and writing through the supported YaMoRC connections.
